Cause of gnome-session segfault at start

I've filed a bug against libglib2.0-0 2.0.7-1 detailing why 
gnome-session 2.0.9 segfaults at start on Alpha.  See 
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=173508 for details and 
the one-line patch.

GNOME 2 is still not what I'd call solid on Alpha, but with this patch 
at least it starts up.
