ES1370 AudioPCI on Eiger
Hi, folks,
I have a pretty funny problem with the ES1370-based
soundcard I got for my Eiger. I dropped it in and it
is getting recognized just fine by lspci as an
Ensoniq ES1370 [AudioPCI]. So far that's not the
problem. I built a module for this thing and issued
a 'modprobe es1370', which came up with the following:
es1370: version v0.35 time 19:30:47 Nov 24 2002
es1370: irq 4294967168 in use
/lib/modules/2.2.22/misc/es1370.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters,
including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.2.22/misc/es1370.o: insmod
/lib/modules/2.2.22/misc/es1370.o failed
/lib/modules/2.2.22/misc/es1370.o: insmod es1370 failed
It took me some time to get used to that there are interrupts above
15 in this system, but 2^64 is rather scary. Does anyone have an
idea, what the reason for this weird behavior might be?
BTW, I'm using a basically unmodified Debian Woody with kernel
2.2.22.
TIA,
Marc
