NMU for #140474 ?

Hello,
xmovie does not build on alpha. Quite a while ago I created a patch
and put it into BTS. Since I am not a native C programmer the patch
might not be optimal, but at least xmovie builds on alpha. Upstream
also has alpha optimization included, so alpha support is intended.
The maintainer of xmovie has not responded to the bug report and the
patch (this is already 210 days in BTS). I recently asked him via BTS
if there is anything to be done to get this patch included but nothing
happened.

Can some debian developer apply this (or a refined version of this)
patch and NMU xmovie ? Alternativly can such a person point me to the
appropriate place for such requests ?

Thanks

           Helge
