Bug#143526: wmspaceweather 1.04-7: floating point error (forward)

Hello,

I'm looking for someone who can check the attached bugreport. I have no
access to an Alpha machine running Linux and I'd like to know, whether
this bug is reproducible and (if it is) if you can supply a strace log.
The program does no division by zero, so I would expect an overflow or
underflow or something, but I have no idea where it occurs because I
cannot reproduce this on i386.

Please CC me when replying.

Thanks! -- Martin

Package: wmspaceweather
Version: 1.04-7
Severity: grave

Dependencies: libc6.1, perl, curl, xlibs
Suggests: wmaker

libc6.1 -- Version: 2.2.5-4 installed
perl -- Version: 5.6.1-7 installed
curl -- Version: 7.9.5-1 installed
xlibs -- Version: 4.1.0-14 installed
wmaker -- Version: 0.80.0-4 installed (WindowMaker is the only window
manager used on this system)

Kernel version: 2.4.18
Debian release: woody (testing)
Architecture: Alpha (EV5 Model 21164 processor)
Relevant hardware information: Digital 500a Personal Workstation (Miata)

Regardless of whether or not any arguments are specified after the command
"wmSpaceWeather", the result is consistent:

jehoover@fcc:~$ wmSpaceWeather
Floating point exception
jehoover@fcc:~$
jehoover@fcc:~$ wmSpaceWeather -url
http://http.rap.ucar.edu/weather/satelliteFloating point exception

I cannot recommend any patches or fixes. This may be a bug specific to the
Alpha architecture, but I am unsure.
