I think so.  This definitely looks like a pdl bug on Alpha. Thanks
for looking into this, Paul.

I am re-assigning this bug to pdl.  Raul, can you please read the bug
archive for 140104 at:

http://bugs.debian.org/140104

to see that pdl is now segfaulting on Alpha during the GIMP
configuration.
