I've found it's best to put identical DIMMs into any Alpha.  I've had some
"mixed brand" combos that worked and other times where only DIMMs from the
same production batch would work.  Also, I'm not sure if LX requires ECC
or not, but that may be another issue as well (SX doesn't require ECC).
