TGA2, XFree 4.0.2 and emacs

Before submitting a bug report, I would like to hear from other unlucky
owners of a
00:0b.0 VGA compatible controller: Digital Equipment Corporation PBXGB
[TGA2] (rev 22)
if they confirm that running emacs (or xmgr) kills X with signal error 8.
