setiathome client does not work
I get the following message when trying to use setiathome:

I found no help at Seti@Home's web page or Google. Another Linux user
with the same problem asked for help on Slashdot, but he did not get a
reply.
System info:
[ger@rhino:~ ]$ uname -a
Linux rhino 2.2.18pre21 #1 Wed Dec 13 09:17:21 CET 2000 alpha unknown
[ger@rhino:~ ]$ cat /etc/debian_version
2.2
hardware: AlphaStation 600 5/266
