Re: Problems with xwindows programs

What is the processor type of your machine? Older EV4 based machines like
the jensen need patches for traps.c as the traping in 2.2 seríes kernels
is broken for those machines. The  effect is that once the machine traps
it never comes back but the offending application will eat all processor
time there is without responding any further.

DISCLAIMER: I have often given answers in the alphalinux list which were
regarded wrong by the powers that be. So please if I got it wrong again
feel free to correct me. This is just my attempt to help.
