I don't expect that to change it; 2.2.17 and 2.4.0-testX are pretty
close WRT the support GLIBC may be looking for in the kernel...

Good question; under RH 6.2 using GLIBC 2.1.3-6, there's no problem,
AFAIK (yes, I know it's old, but it's *stable* for what I do). I don't
make any attempt to keep current WRT GLIBC (or GCC) snapshots, so I
really have no clue as to when changes might have been made in that
area...
Send me a pointer to where the sources might be found, and I'll take a
look...
