New Kernel on slink

Hello,

my playing around with Debian for Alpha continues. I managed to set up a
nice and stable running system. Now I am facing to little problems.

Debian uses exim as the default mailer, It seems tobe faster and more
efficent than sendmail and the configuration looks much more easier. I
am hosting three domains and I am getting all the mail by uucp and a
dial-up link. I searched on www.exim.org but I didn't find any examples
for a uucp only node. Any hints?

I just compiled the 2.2.14 kernel. It compiled right of the box. When I
try to boot the kernel I get a line of -------- and it seems that the
machine accesses the disk but there is now screen output. Do I have to
recompile my milo?

As mentioned before, these are my first advanced steps on Debian for
Alpha.

Regards

Kai
