I only know there are problems in the network driver, especially in the
network adapter detection. I worked around them by using one of
tulip.c or de4x5.c, and by switching the (10baseT) network cable from the
10baseT to the 100baseT plug. One of the four possible combinations always
worked :)

Choosing one of CONFIG_DE4X5 and CONFIG_DEC_ELCP implies compiling your
own kernel. If you tell us what didn't work, someone might help.

Alternatively, I could compile a kernel for you and send you the binary...
