Well looks like these are the libs used by Redhat4.2/Alpha, which were
based on beta versions on glibc (before glibc2.0). I am not sure even
Redhat5.x support them fully, I do not think Debian/alpha ever had
them but someone who has been here from longer than me could confirm
that.  Maybe there is a redhat5.x version of the program which should
work under debian?
