Hi Cory, Hi Maxime, Hi Xuanteng, Hi all, Thanks for checking and asking for the relicensing terms. I hereby agree to relicense my contributions to the rocm-llvm package from the initially used Expat terms to the suggested Apache 2.0 with LLVM exceptions license terms, which are in place in the llvm-toolchain packages. Alternatively, I am also open to relicense to "Expat or Apache 2.0 with LLVM exceptions". My spirit behind my choice of licensing terms for the debian directory has always been to facilitate forward of Debian specific patches. Therefore, matching upstream's has always looked to me to be the easiest way forward. Offering both licensing terms as an option, depending on what's appropriate under which circumstances, looks to be a fair way to facilitate convergence between the two packages without risks of licensing terms conflicts. > [1]: https://salsa.debian.org/pkg-llvm-team/llvm-toolchain/-/blob/20/debian/copyright?ref_type=heads#L28-30 > [2]: https://salsa.debian.org/rocm-team/rocm-llvm/-/blob/debian/6.4.3+dfsg-1_exp3/debian/copyright?ref_type=tags#L83-86 For the Debian AI mailing list on 2025-09-18, In hope this helps, :) -- .''`.
