Thank you. I just tried the same d/watch pattern you used for rocblas in 
my hipblaslt update and it worked perfectly. I'm not sure why, but I had 
struggled to get the previous d/watch working properly with +dfsg 
version mangling. This is a welcome improvement.

I'm happy to merge all your PRs (as relying on devscripts from 
experimental does not impact my workflow), but I will hold off until the 
devscripts have been backported as Christian requested (or until I need 
to change the watch file anyway --- whichever comes first).
