This was done by one of our engineers as a proof-of-concept project a while
back, but it may be useful to you or others as-is.  Being a snap, it's

I have an RFS open for rocm-validation-suite [1], but the snap could be a helpful alternative in the meantime (for users that don't want to install the upstream AMD repos). I don't often use snaps, but I can appreciate the convenience for this purpose.

It looks like the snap repackages the binaries from the upstream AMD repo, so the end result when running it is presumably the same as if you installed it from the AMD repo. It's just simpler to install on platforms with snap easily available. Neat.
