Hi Kohei, Congratulations! Looking forward to working with you in this summer. I'm glad that you updated huggingface_hub before I mentioned it. Such update is relatively minor compared to the initial packaging. I see you are currently trying to incorporate the salsa-ci as suggested by others. Please let me know when you feel ready for me to check it and sponsor the upload. To update the package in debian archive, one needs to be either (1) debian developer with uploading permission (2) debian maintainer with upload permission to a specific package granted by a debian developer. I can grant you with the permission when you are more familiar with the overall procedure and the package quality standard. FYI, if you want to become debian maintainer, this website allows you to submit application: https://nm.debian.org tokenizers sounds like a good next step. Note that the package involves rust source. Packging rust+python is a little bit more complicated than pure python like huggingface_hub. You can take this following example https://salsa.debian.org/deeplearning-team/safetensors/ On 5/9/25 03:56, 千代航平 wrote:

So please have a look and check my update.I want to update the Debian Archive huggingface-hub package. If you have time, please show me how to do so.I will continue my project, and my next step is packaging tokenizers <https://github.com/huggingface/tokenizers>.Best regards, *Kohei Sendai* ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ kouhei.sendai@gmail.com University of Tokyo, Faculty of Engineering, system innovation. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
