i guys,
We really need to get rocm-hipamd uploaded if we're going to have any
chance of getting everything migrated to LLVM 18 before Trixie. I think
it is still possible, and I am willing to make a big push to get there.
However, it's going to require a fair number of sponsored uploads to get
packages into NEW:
- src:rocm-hipamd (libamdhip64-6)
- src:rocm-llvm (rocm-device-libs-18)
- src:rocblas (librocblas4)
I pushed the rocblas 6.1.5 code to
https://salsa.debian.org/rocm-team/rocblas/-/tree/6.1.5/master?ref_type=heads
I didn't add the symbol file for librocblas4 as i don't really
understand what is to be done or not
(https://wiki.debian.org/UsingSymbolsFiles)
The package is building, pass all the tests, is lintian clean, and the
doc should fully build when rocm-docs-core will be available.
Unfortunatly it seems to long to build to pass the salsa-CI.
Should I push to experimental ?
Feel free to fix or upload if you think it's ready.
- src:hipblas (libhipblas1)
- src:rocsparse (librocsparse1)
- src:hipsparse (libhipsparse1)
- src:hiprand
There's already Mario, Xuanteng, and Christian working on the rocm-
hipamd update, so I'm not going to wade into that. If you need my help,
please let me know. Otherwise, I will focus on the dense linear algebra
stack.
Sincerely,
Cory Bloor
