My name is Kohei Sendai, a third-year undergraduate student at The University of Tokyo.
I am planning to apply for Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2025 with the Debian Project, with the proposed project titled "Package LLM Inference Libraries".
As part of my preparation, I have been learning about Debian packaging tools such as sbuild, and I’ve looked into the existing pytorch package repository. For my application task, I created a Debian package for huggingface-hub, which will serve as a first step toward packaging vllm.
I’m very excited about the opportunity to contribute to Debian and to get involved in the community. I look forward to learning from all of you and having many meaningful discussions.
