I guess it depend on why it need a specific version of clang.  Why can
it not use just clang, aka clang-19 in Trixie at the moment?  And if it
only work with clang-19, why search instead of just picking the one
clang-17 it need?  I do not know the answer to these questions, but
suspect it might provide insights useful for deciding what cmake should
do.
