Re: Joining ROCm team, ectrans

BTW, do we have a meta package that pulls everything in?
Like nvidia-cuda-toolkit pulls everything, including the
docs, utils, and nvidia-cuda-dev. That -dev package pulls
most libraries including cublas, cusparse, etc.

According to the upstream installation guide, they indeed
have a meta package "rocm" to pull everything, alongside
the kernel module dkms.

Are there good examples and docs on how ROCm works in Debian available yet?
No, there are no examples outside of the ROCm team yet.

A similar question was asked on debian-science yesterday [1]; the
replies Cory and I send should provide an overview of how this is done
for ROCm packages.

However: From that thread, it was clear that we need to simplify this.
I'm working on a utility to make this a one-liner, see [2] point 3,
though points 1 and 2 could also be interesting to you.

I'll reply to that message with a draft man page for the utility by
tomorrow. (The utility itself is easily implemented, but I'd like to be
certain of its interface before shipping it.)

How do I join the team?
I sent you an invite.

Best,
Christian
