We hit one roadblock with this, namely that ROCm 5.7 requires llvm-17 to
build, which is not yet available in bookworm-backports.

It's on my TODO list to discuss this with our LLVM maintainers, but LLVM
is a non-trivial package I think, and maintaining a backport for that
can be a bit of a burden.

In any case, thank you for the reminder, I'll reach out to the maintainers.

If the maintainers do not agree, one fallback we could try would be to
host a backport of llvm-17 in our team's own APT repository [1].

Given an llvm-17, th backports of the ROCm packages themselves should be
pretty straightforward, I think.
