Its four pink circles surrounded by black represent the extremities of the body: the head for cognitive thought and vision, and the hands and feet for mobility. This human figure has open arms to symbolise the inclusion of everyone, including people with permanent or temporary disabilities. The Debian logo is integrated into the centre of the circle representing the head in pink on a black background.
The circles in the original UN logo are blue surrounded by black.
