If the system menus are like Mate, you can go into keyboard shortcuts and
configure something like
control + alt + backspace
to do what you want.
I usually go there to change a few things, like what brings up the menus,
and I change the run window shortcut to Windows + R, and I change the focus
on desktop to be Windows M, and I change the shortcut for Orca.
Go into system, hardware, keyboard shortcuts.
