This is about an encrypted LVM. That step is before actual disk
partitionning and filesystem set up.


Unless I'm missing something, one could preseed this question as kernel
boot parameter:

# When disk encryption is enabled, skip wiping the partitions beforehand.
#d-i partman-auto-crypto/erase_disks boolean false
