Yes, more generally OpenJDK has threading issues, and thus we have to
make java-atk-wrapper extra cautious with it...

No commit in past 6 months doesn't mean it's unmaintained. It just does
the job. The development is rather in orca.
Anyway, I have now uploaded a fix.
