Indeed I may have been to quick to lower it, but if this problem can not be fixed by a patch, how to fix it? I am going to further look it up, but with source 3.0 (quilt) I believe (man dpkg-buildpackage and dpkg-source) the patches are applied by dpkg-source upon unpacking. Paul
