Why not indeed. It implies an infrastructure but could fix some problems and help collaborating on a hard issue. It seems there are more and more packages and maintainers in speech synthetisers. So... it's a good idea. It'd be needed to communicate so that all speech synthetisers maintainers join the team. If it's not too hard to create a infrastructure, I agree and agree to participate.
