GRML is based on debian (with some extra packages and its own kernel). One of
the many purposes for which it can be used is to install Debian.

Grml is better as a rescue CD than anything else that I have found. All of the
tools needed to repair a system are included.

IA64 is for Intel Itanium processors. It's very likely that you don't have one
of those, but rather that you have an x86-64 processor, which requires the
AMD64 image.
