I have not heard yet from upstream what it is capable of, I will report
as soon as I hear back from him.

I am under the impression that there is no stand-alone Daisy player in
Debian. I tried to search for it when I was trigger to this issue by
somebody in need for it. My question, am I right?

If I find the package in well enough shape (nearly there), is there
somebody here that is willing to sponsor me?

If somebody is already interested, my packaging so far is available in
my ppa (Ubuntu) at https://launchpad.net/~paul-climbing/+archive/daisy
