[ I'm sending this email to the maintainers and co-maintainers of the
seven Debian kernel modules packages currently build-depending on cdbs.
(atl2, exmap, gpib, gspca, speakup, squashfs and vloopback.) I hope I
didn't cast too wide a net -- please accept my apologies if this is the
case. ]
I would like to request your feedback on my work to add support for
kernel modules packaging to CDBS, which I have just submitted[*] to the
Build-common-hackers mailing-list.
[*] <http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/build-common-hackers/2009-March/004609.html>
My goal was to try and make modules packaging as easy as the rest of
CDBS, instead of the hodge-podge we currently have to deal with. I'd
very much like for maintainers to let me know whether I have succeeded
or not, and what I could do to improve things.
So, if you can spare the time, please send me your comments/questions,
either on the (open) mailing-list, or privately. If you wish, I can
send you a copy of the email so you may easily quote and reply to it.
(And do feel free to reply: "That email is too damn long! Can't you
just show me what my debian/rules would look like?" <g>)
Thanks for your help!
