d-i: Bad archive mirror
Hi everyone,
I downloaded the current daily build version of the debian installer
http://people.debian.org/~joeyh/d-i/images/daily/netboot/mini.iso
(06-Jun-2006 21:13 9.3M) and tried it with VmWare.
After choosing a debian mirror, I always receive the following error
message:
Choose a mirror of the Debian archive
Bad archive mirror
The specified Debian archive mirror is either not available, or does
not have a valid Release file on it. Please try a different mirror.
The network has been configured via DHCP. In the syslog file, there are,
for example, the following lines:
Jun 7 12:16:43 main-menu[1890]: DEBUG: Menu item 'choose-mirror'
selected
Jun 7 12:16:43 main-menu[1890]: DEBUG: configure choose-mirror, status:

Jun 7 12:16:43 main-menu[1890]: DEBUG: configure configured-network,
status: 0
Jun 7 12:16:43 main-menu[1890]: DEBUG: virtual package

Jun 7 12:16:43 main-menu[1890]: DEBUG: configure choose-mirror-bin,
status: 2
Jun 7 12:16:43 main-menu[1890]: DEBUG: configure libc6, status: 0
Jun 7 12:16:56 choose-mirror[4308]: DEBUG: command: wget -q
http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian//dists/etch/Release -O - | grep ^Suite:
| cut -d' ' -f 2
Is this problem already known?
Best wishes, Simon.
