Please try to completely rebuild the apt caches with:
apt-get clean && dpkg --clear-avail && apt-get update
There are some binary caches that can be cleared using "apt-get clean",
I suspect these might be corrupted

You should still fix that as a proper apt-get update will fail
otherwise.
