With regard to the problem of unmasked slot interrupts, the LC475 (and
Quadra 605, which is basically equivalent) have the same difficulty as the
Quadra/Centris 650.

Regardless, you might still test the 3.16.0-4 kernel binary. If the
problem really is an unhandled interrupt, you may not see any failure; it
depends a lot on MacOS drivers. That kind of bug is always a lottery.

But if we are chasing a certain kind of regression in the Linux kernel,
you'd probably see the same failure that John Paul saw, since the hardware
is similar.

Is your Debian installation up-to-date? Can you install 3.16.0-4 with
apt-get? If not, there are some links to kernel binaries below, that you
can unpack, to obtain a copy of vmlinux for use in Penguin under MacOS.
You don't need an initrd for this test.

http://snapshot.debian.org/package/linux/3.16.7-ckt4-1/#linux-image-3.16.0-4-m68k_3.16.7-ckt4-1

Does anyone know the difference is between the ckt build and the other?
