Good point. I think I had it set to 16(15?)-bit color. The last
Debian/m68k install I did was on a Quadra 630, which uses valkyrie
framebuffer, which I think may have learned how to change color depth.
I had forgotten that other Macs probably still can't do this. I'll try
it again at 8 bits.
