Do you have the serial ports set to "Compatible" mode in MacOS? You
need that for the early serial debugging to work since that starts
before the main IOP initialization routines. If you don't have the
Serial Switch control panel, you need to get a copy to set this.

As far as I know, the power control never worked. It needs a driver
for the caboose chip, which is only in the Q900 and Q950. That one
chip does power and RTC/PRAM at least, and maybe other stuff.

That's good to hear. I knew it used to work on IIfx, so I guess it was
an interrupt problem instead of an issue with the IOP chip itself.
