I'd say that it's exactly the other way round - I personally would let ARAnyM pick up the bigger/more resource hungry packages since with ARAnyM you have almost unlimited RAM and disk space... As for the CPU load, after Roman's speed-up patch I think it's no longer an issue.
In other words, I don't think we'd need the build time estimate up front. Petr
