I don't know how to do that.BTW, with a working disk (even with the sarge or woody that are already available) you can easily debootstrap whatever you want.
When I tried D-I didn't find a NIC. Wrong kernel I guess.
Replace kernel then. Use the precompiled 2.4.27-12 I made available ( http://wiki.aranym.org/afs/setup_linux#aranym_linuxm68k_resources )
