2.6.17 vs. Q950

I'm trying kernel 2.6.17-8 on zeus, my Quadra 950.

So I boot with Penguin root=/dev/sda8 mac53c9x=2,0
and I get the following error (manually-typed in).

| esp: using quick version

| esp1: Resetting scsi bus

Booting Penguin root=/dev/sda8 mac53c9x=1,0 booted successfully. I guess
that second scsi bus is a problem. :)

Sonic didn't seem to load up, so I couldn't use the net. Perhaps it
wasn't compiled in? I'll have to check that later.

Surprisingly the keyboard seemed to work, but with a different keymap.
Any ideas what I should try to straighten that out?

No keyboard, no network, but progress.

I see -9 is out, any reason it should be any different?

Thanks,

Stephen
