I don't know about 2.15. All I know is that anything more recent than 2.9.5
that I tried (including 2.13.90.0.10 and 2.14.90.0.7) caused this problem.

Someone posted a workaround (preprocess final image with a script). Still have
to dive into the m68kboot sources to find out why exactly it fails...
