I believe the mac has a special key sequence (Apple-ctrl-C I think) to
boot from CD.

However, I am pretty sure that doesn't work for booting to debian.

What you want to do is boot to MacOS first, then start linux from the
Penguin bootstrap loader. It should all be in the docs for debian.

If you've got a standard m68k debian CD, the Penguin booter should be
on there somewhere, under a mac subdirectory, somewhere pretty near the
root (I am a work, so I'm doing this from memory). There's also a mac
install document, which tells you what to do.

Basically, the first step is to install the minimum boot system onto your
hard disk, then boot from there into linux.

Feel free to shout if you still have problems - I went through this with my
quad 800 a few months ago.
