IDE disks

Hi,
is there an issue with using IDE disks from an Amiga with an i386 box?
My IDE controller or the IDE disk on the amiga just died, I put the disk in
my i386 but I am unable to access it.

The disk seems to be connected correctly:
hdc: 19807200 sectors (10141 MB) w/466KiB Cache, CHS=19650/16/63, (U)DMA

But somehow the kernel is not happy with it, hdb is fine:
/dev/ide/host0/bus0/target1/lun0: [PTBL] [2491/25 5/63] p1 p2 p3 p4 < p5 p6 p7 p8 p9 p10 p11 p12 p13 >

But hdc is not:
/dev/ide/host0/bus1/target0/lun0:hdc: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
hdc: dma_intr: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }
hdc: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }

Hardware problem? The Amiga just hangs when the disk/controller is in.
Should this be my second dead disk on the amiga within a year? fdisk -l
doesn't even show up anything on the disk... well, maybe a dead disk is
better than a dead IDE controller :-(

Christian
