amiga serial ttyS0 prob

Hi "list",

Installing debian was not such a great deal as I expected.
But I still have some trouble using the serial interface.
It is recognized correctly as "ttyS0 AMIGA built-in" , but I cant do
anything with it.
pppconfig does not recognize my modem though it is nothing special (rx
led is flashing but nothing happens).
I set up the modem manually, but the pppd does not dial at all.

The flashing of the rx led on the modem shows data is transferred.

As I am  rather new to Linux, is there someting I missed to do? Is the
serial speed 115200 set too fast?
115200 works fine on Amiga OS.

Any ideas?
