ADB does not work on PowerBook 150

Hey, I tried to boot the 2.4 kernel(2.2 does not support adb chip) in my
PowerBook 150 but it hangs on the adb driver loading.
What's the problem, is it a bug?
And, a novice doubt: I have to have the MacOS to have Linux installed in my
Mac68k machine?(Penguin loader)
