More specifically, Roman Zippel and some people working on the Mac port
wrote and tested the FPU emulation, and it has been integrated into the
Mac kernel source since. Because we had to use the Mac source for the
potato kernel anyway, FPU emulation is of course included in the Mac
install kernels.
Kernel development is separate from the Debian distribution development.
