I have found my problem

As you may know, I have a centris 610 with a 68LC040 and I am trying to install Debian. I have two hard disks, an 80 MB internal one and a 250 MB external. When I first tried to install debian I tried to install it on the 80 MB one and wrote the two partitions as Linux native and Linux swap. Now I am trying to install onto my 250 MB hdd and because I am installing from my 80 MB drive debian still thinks it has Linux partitions on it. That wouldn't be a problem except that because they're actually HFS it can't mount them. Any help would be appreciated ;).
