Especially with the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each message.
Ever read those? Maybe he always skips .sigs?  

BTW weenie: no one here can unsubscribe you. If I send a message with
subject 'unsubscribe' to the list request address it'll unsubscribe me, not
you. The list engine looks at the mail headers and attempts to unsubscribe
the originator address, OK?
