When I enter ~# xdm nothing appears to happen but when I logout it
reports that xdm was running. What else do I have to do to configure
xdm, if anything?
When I enter ~# wmaker -display :0 I get this response:
_X11TransSocketUNIXConnect: Can't connect: errorno = 2
this repeats six times and ends with
/usr/X11R6/bin/WindowMaker fatal error: Could not open display :0
Similar errors follow wmaker-config and twm.
