I exchanged deb http://ftp.fi.debian.org/debian stable main to deb http://ftp.fi.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free and ran apt-get install acroread evince xpdf to be able to display pdfs (some openoffice generated pdfs seem to need acroread i was told) - only on video-laptop1 so far, but this is the one which should be used for the slides anyway... good nite/morning, Holger
