ah. i remember reviewing this, and being stunned by the simplicity and
clarity of the diversity statement, noting in particular the
repetition of making people feel welcome.

only much further down do we encounter the toxic list of behaviours
which, when presented as the very first statement, typically poison an
environment and cause everyone to live in fear, confusion and
"treading on eggshells".

my feeling is that this is the right approach and balance.
